The Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria has opened a new administrative office in highbrow Magodo area of Lagos Mainland to attend to the growing needs of its members and students.
The opening of the new administrative office is coming on the heels of the commissioning of the Institute’s new offices in Benin and Port Harcourt last year.
The Registrar and Chief Executive of the Institute, Mr Yemi Mapaderun stated that the Institute’s decision to open the new administrative office was based on the need to promptly attend to the needs of its teeming members and students from within and outside Lagos.
Located at number 3, Jubilee/CMD Road in Magodo, the new office according to the Registrar will also attend to all administrative, admissions and Corporate Affairs issues and enquiries from its members and students in Nigeria and the diaspora who have been asking for this kind of platform for a long time.
“Our decision to open this new office is in line with our commitment to ensure that our offices within the country are easily accessible to all our members within and outside Nigeria and to expand the frontiers of the ISMN.” he said
According to him, “The Institute has invested heavily on online study platform, but we cannot totally eliminate visibility and physical contact with our members who must have one issue or the other to resolve from time to time. We have our students and members located in all parts of the country and abroad, we expect that their needs would be promptly attended to at the new administrative office.”
Meanwhile, the European Council for Business Education has granted the Institute a membership status through a letter signed by ECBC Executive Director, Mr R Bryan Holden.
With this development, ISMN now enjoys affiliation and partnership of three international bodies. The Institute is currently a corporate member of International Institute for Strategic Studies, (IISS) United Kingdom and partners with the University of Business and International Studies, (UBIS) in Geneva Switzerland.
With this new status, ISMN courses can now be weighted and given appropriate credit points for eventual award of diplomas and degrees while the Institute can also network with business schools and business studies departments of European Universities for exchange programmes and other collaborations.
