ISMN Re-Launch Ghana Chapter; Inaugurate Protem Exco2014-05-09 12:30:05
The Ghana Chapter of Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria was re-launched on Tuesday 29th April 2014 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra, Ghana. The ceremony, which was jointly performed by the National Secretary, Pastor Itia Otabor, FSM and the Registrar, Mr. Adeyemi Mapaderun, FSM had in attendance the Institute's Founding President, Professor Austin Uwandulu, FSM, Chairman, Board of Fellows, Professor Oluwayemisi Obashoro-John, FSM, and Air Vice Marshall Sikiru Smith, FSM.
In his address at the re-launch, the Registrar recalled that the Ghana Chapter was initially inaugurated in 2006 but soon went to sleep due to a number of reasons. He however expressed gratitude to God for making it possible to resuscitate the Chapter. He was also full of praise for the effort of Dr. Enyonam Kudonoo, MSM (then Deputy Chairman of Ghana Chapter) for her effort in mobilizing members in Ghana for this re-launch. He added that with the re-launch of Ghana Chapter, the stage was set for the actualization of the Institute's dream of establishing a pan-Africa association of professional strategists by 2015.
While performing the re-launch of the Chapter on behalf of the President/Chairman-In-Council, Dr. Otive Igbuzor,FSM, the National Secretary, Pastor Itia Otabor challenged the Protem Executive Committee of the Ghana Chapter headed by Dr. Kudonoo to sustain the newly-found momentum and ensure that a full-fledged Ghana Institute of Strategic Management is registered within the next three months. According to him, the re-launch of the Ghana Chapter should be a stepping stone to the formation of an independent strategic management institute for Ghana.
In her response, the Protem Chairman of Ghana Chapter, Dr. Enyonam Kudonoo pledged to mobilize institutional support for the Chapter in Ghana and institutionalize strategic management practice in the country. Other members of the Protem Executive Committee include:
